"Just give me the money I would have had."

That is what Anna Nicole Smith wants from her estranged son-in-law. She married oil tycoon J. Howard Marshall in 1994, which was 89 at the time. Marshall was worth $1.6 Billion when he died in 1995. Anna only wants half of the money, which a California court granted her, but a Texas court decided against her being eligible for the money.

Now, the Supreme Court is in the middle of this mess between her and her son-in-law, Pierce Marshall. The Justices are leaning to her side already, according to what I've learned so far.

I don't know what to think about this woman. Yes, she is legally eligible to half the money, but she was only married to him for a year. On the other hand, he knew what he was getting himself into with her, so maybe he wanted her to have it. Can you imagine having half of that? Heck, I would be happy with a 10th of the estate. If she wins this case, then you'll probably see a ton of people marrying old hens and buzzards in hopes of getting part of their estate. Oh-Boy... :-)

Oh, I'll get back on the political band-wagon soon, I've just got a little burnt out by all the media.

For those of you stuck under a rock for the last month, the DPW is owned by Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, which supposedly supported the Taliban in Afghanistan and al-Qaeda. According to World Net Daily, “As far back as 1999, U.S. intelligence spotted Osama bin Laden at a desert training camp in Afghanistan for about a week. There was an opportunity to destroy the entire camp with cruise missiles. But the operation was called off because an official aircraft from the UAE was spotted, along with members of the royal family”. They also added, “It turned out bin Laden was hunting with the princes of the UAE. Concerned that the princes might be collateral damage in a strike, the mission was called off. Two years later, 3,000 Americans were killed as a result”.

Personally, I can’t understand why America cannot take care of its own ports. There is hundreds of thousands of hardworking Americans that need a job right now, because times are tuff, regardless of the fluff you may see on TV. The US government for one stupid reason or another rather hire workers from Mexico or people from Arab countries that put our countries security at risk. Before you tag me as a racist, I’m not racist against people of the Islamic faith, I’m simply trying to look out for the better good of America, and hiring terrorist to watch our ports helps no one except them.

I’ll tell you one major problem we have here in America at the current time. We are too soft. Years ago if someone pushed us, we would push back with tremendous force. Now, we just let people push us around, like a bunch of whinny wimps. After getting that off my chest, I feel sad for our country and the shape it is in today. Even though the political spectrum is hideous and the world is dwindling downward, I still love America, and what Lady Liberty stands gracefully for in times of despair.

She stands as a beacon for all those coming to America to better themselves. However, do not cross her, for she may look harmless standing in the harbor, but her torch of freedom will smite you into dust. Just as Theseus smites Periphetes in Greek Mythology for killing strangers. Don’t mess with Lady Liberty…

Also, go check out A Tangled Web, David has some very interesting links about this story and a logical conclusion to why we don't need the UAE invading our ports.

There is a poll going around that all the regular bloggers have taken that supposedly tell you what level of hell (if any) you will be in when you die. I don't believe this noneesense, but it's all in good fun anyway. Anyhow, It said that I would reside in the 5th level of hell. Crap, I better change my lifestyle and fast. No more all-nighters, deception, self-indulgence, and no more being shady with the ladies. This is all for laughs folks, so don't be offended. :-)

RedHeads - Oh Boy...

Did you know that true redheads only make up 5% of the global population? Yeah, it’s a cool fact that my hottie pointed out to me today. According to Deanna Joseph of Bella Online, “In ancient Ireland if a traveler were to happen upon a woman with red hair he must turn around and start his journey all over again. Red heads bring bad luck to a ship, don't sail with one on board. Redheads seem to be relatively recent in evolutionary terms, only being with us for about 20,000 years but in that short time a whole body of superstition has built up around them”. Now before you say, what are you doing on Bella (a woman’s site), well I was told to go check it out, so I did. Anyone who knows me also knows that I have a thing for redheaded women, so I guess that’s why I’m pointing this out. My writing is a little out of form, for I worked today, studied, went to the gym, and went out, so I’m a bit tired.

Deanna also added, “Macha, the red war-goddess makes a vengeful appearance in the second story of Ulster, in a terrible story of humiliation. This Macha placed the curse upon the men of Ulaid, for their mistreatment of her during her pregnancy. The curse was that during Ulster's hours of greatest need, the men of Ulster would suffer violent pangs like those of a woman giving birth. But Macha Mong Ruad, who also railed against the men of Ireland, was a great Queen in ancient times”. Yikes, I’m not pissing off any redheads, unless it is to my advantage. :-)

Anyhow, these interesting facts were pointed out to me, so I thought I’d pass it along. I love redheads. However, I have red tints mixed in with the blonde hair, so don't mess with me. LOL…

Is the Avian Flu Epidemic scaring you?

Well, in the states, most people are dismissing the flu, but there are hypochondriacs that are panicking as I type. Seriously, if it can spread to India, then it can easily spread to the states. I’m not scared, we can’t stop the inevitable from happening. If it’s meant out wipe us out, then that is what it will do. I do feel terrible for all the people that are infected with it now, and those families that lost loved ones to the bird flu. These viruses are on the molecular level, for they don’t care if they infect a child are a hen. Don’t be scared, what ever happens-happens. Life’s short, enjoy it. If I stopped every freaking time I had a pain or a sting, I’d never move a muscle. People give up way too easily. American culture has raised a bunch of whinny and lazy children, whom are grown, yet still act like children. However, not all Americans are like that. Some of us are tough, hardworking, and unapologetic individuals. What’s your say? Do Americans cry Wolf to quickly? Also, I wanted to point out that America would not be what it is today, without hardworking men and women of yesteryear, especially those who fought in past wars, like World War II. Thanks let me know what you think…

Well, being Irish is much the same as being from any other ancestry background. My state of South Carolina has 317,490 Irish-Americans or 7.9%, which is somewhat low. However, that is just the people that know or assume Irish ancestry. America as a whole has persons claiming Irish ancestry, 30,528,49210.8% of the total American population. Actually, those numbers surprised me; in fact, I was stunned. Most people that are in my age group and younger don’t know there ancestry, and they don’t even care. I care and was taught where my ancestors were from at a young age. They taught me the history, such as the potato famine that began in 1845, and caused the immigration to America. I love America and being American, but dammit I love being Irish too. However, I do not look down on anyone, regardless of where he or she might be from. I only look down on those that don’t know their history. Because after all, knowing your history is important in order to understand whom you are, and what you can learn from your ancestors. Why did I bring up this topic? Well St. Patricks Day is coming up in a few weeks, and I always try to celebrate my heritage. What is your say?

Sinn Fein's chief negotiator Martin McGuinness said, "We are serious about engaging with unionism. We want to see Ian Paisley sharing power," he said, adding that if that didn't work, "then the two governments (Dublin and London) need to come in and make it clear that joint decision making is the only way forward". The whole re-unification situation rest on the shoulders of Ian Paisley. I hope he does what is right for the Northern Irish people, because that is ultimately what is important. McGuinness also added, "The political landscape of the north is transformed. The political landscape in the south is changing as we speak. We are going to bring about the change...we are going to bring about the re-unification of our country". What's your say on a United Ireland? If you want more detailed news on uniting Ireland, then go check out United Irelander.

Well, ladies and gentleman, Mr. Harry Whittington has survived the onslaught of the Cheney fiasco. I’m not messing with Mr. Cheney. He’s the man, especially with bird shot loaded in his gun. What I can’t figure out about the whole spill is how birdshot migrated from the right side to the left, where his heart is found. The reason I say this, is the birdshot was supposed to have just hit his right side, so how did it make its way over to the left. I know one thing is for sure, don’t under any circumstances get the Cheney rage train a rolling in your direction. Seriously, I am glad Mr. Whittington is doing well. What’s your say on this circus act we call politics?

Remembering Valentines Day

Seeing how this blog is my new home away from home, I thought I would share a Valentines Day story with you. I was at college Monday, which I’m always in classes on Monday. Anyway, I was in my public speaking class, and something interesting happened. We are separated into groups, so luckily, for me, I’m with three women, and none of them are married, so “Jefferson” was on the prowl. They know I’m spoken for, but I shoot the bull with them anyway. Anyhow, our project for Monday was to make our significant other a Valentines Day card. All the women made one and I made one for my significant other. Anyway, one of the women gives me a card, and I said thanks and we giggled and laughed about it, so I didn’t think that much about the card. When class was over, I gathered my belongings and went to speak to the professor, and left the card on the table. As I was talking to the professor I could overhear the women talking, and the one that gave me the card seemed upset. She proceeded to say to another woman that she had wrote something special to me on the other side of the card that I didn’t bother to read. They leave before I can get back to the table, and I ponder what was written on the card. I am a social idiot, for all these years of having girlfriends and going out, I stupidly left the card. What a moron I am. The message on that card is driving me crazy. What did it say? Jeezzz, I am an imbecile. What’s your thought?

Looking back...

I was looking through an old high school album today, and I found this pic of my class. Which one of these pathetic losers is me? It was the class of 89-ah the good old days.

Cleaning House

For those of you that don’t know, I had another blog, which was my major blog. I am shutting down the other blog next Friday, and I’ll be on this one at least once a week, but probably no more that that. This site looks crappy now, but I’ll smooth out the rough edges when I have the time. I shut down the other blog, simply because I did not have the adequate time to dedicate to it. Thanks…

Freedom of Speech jailed, over Prophet Mohammad Cartoon Scandal.

Three editors from the New York Observer resigned today over their freedom of speech being infringed upon. The editors had written a piece about the Denmark cartoon scandal, which has caused turmoil and death throughout Europe over the last week. Anyway, they were going to put the cartoons in the article, but were not allowed to do so by their manager. They said the paper bowed down to (in essence) the man, a.k.a. big brother. Harry Siege, which was one of the editors wrote, "New York Press, like so many other publications, has suborned its own professed principles”. Freedom of Speech is starting to wane at an inconceivable measure.

People think the future will be so great, but in reality, everything that happened in the past will come back to haunt us again in one form or another. I read a post recently that scared the dickens out of me. This person said that they hoped the USA would eventually join the Jell-O mold that is the EU. I find this offensive and obtuse to my way of life. Wait and see if they don’t start making life for those that live within the EUs net harder, and more toilsome that ever before. Maybe, that’s a little harsh, but I surely would not trust the EU if I were you, but I’m not. Believe me, the USA has more problems than I could list in an infinite posting, but the foundation is still there, even through all the bickering and mudslinging, freedom remains.

As human beings, regardless of where you live, we cannot let freedom of any type wane, in even a finite amount. Because once it starts going downhill, the gravity and inertia will carry it spiraling downward. I understand the sensibilities that these people have for their god being made a mockery of, and I don’t condone making fun of any religion, but Freedom must always stand firm. What’s your say on these cartoons?

Click on over to Wikipedia if you want to see the cartoons or links to sites that show them in detail. Notice, I do not like the outrageous and blatantly ridiculous remarks these editors have written in the past, but I have to stand with them on freedom of speech. If we ever lose that, then everything else will just fall to the wayside.

Coretta Scott King was put to rest today. President Bush and former president George H. Bush, Bill Clinton, and Jimmy Carter spoke at the funeral. Indeed, many tears were shed as the speakers spoke about the wonderful deeds that Coretta achieved in her 78 years. She was married to the infamous and Nobel Prizewinning Martin Luther King jr., who fought for civil rights and was ahead of his time. She was a lady of insurmountable recognition. She was laid beside her husband in an Atlanta cemetery. My favorite quote from her was, “Hate is too great a burden to bear. It injures the hater more than it injures the hated”. We can learn several lessons from great women like Coretta. Have we stopped hating one another? I think there’s still hatred and anger on both sides, which is sad because of all the hard work and dedication of people like Mrs. King. Personally, I don’t hate anyone, regardless of color, age, nationality, or religion. Kids learn from their parents, so my suggestion to everyone is to stop it with this generation, and don’t teach your children to hate what they don’t understand or is of a different color or race. What’s your say?

The Exxon-Valdez disaster almost repeated...

The Exxon-Valdez accident of 1989 has been forgotten or blurred out of most people’s minds, perhaps by alcohol or some other mind-dulling drug. We draw a blank so quickly, going back to the daily grind of working, socializing, eating, and sleeping. Today, the accident from 1989 rushed back into hearts and minds, as a 600ft. oil tanker ran aground at Cook Inlet in Nikiski, Alaska. I can just imaging being a dockworker seeing that huge ship drift away, after the mooring line was cut by an ice flow. The ship had over five million gallons of oil and refined fuels in it at the time. Luckily, only eighty gallons leaked into the water. My only point is that it could have been a repeat of 1989, so why tempt fate by drilling in Alaska’s ANWR. I love the earth, like I love my family, and it drives me insane, to see such idiotic bureaucracy. What’s your opinion?
