Taxes...

Well folks, it is tax time again. As soon as you get one years paid, the next bill is due. I did my taxes today, and let me tell you, it was not a joyous occasion. I ponder where my federal tax dollars are going. Regardless of whether you are for the war in Iraq or against it, your tax dollars are paying for it. However, there are good things done with taxes, such as helping the homeless.

Most rich people have been sweating these last few days, trying to avoid the deadline. But like it or not, it is among us. Even bigwigs like our own president and vice president had to pay there taxes. According to the Associated Press, President Bush only made $618,694 in 2005, and he paid $187,768 in taxes. Vice President Chenney made over three times the amount last year. He made a cool $1,961,157, and he paid $529,636 in taxes. It’s weird the Vice President did better than President Bush did, but Chenney does have a better head on his shoulders. Did you get lucky and actually get money-back, or did you have to pay the man?
